2 new child safety report cards

With the addition of report cards and country profiles for Malta and Luxembourg, the Alliance now has comparable Child Safety Report Cards and Country Profiles for 26 European countries.

The Child Safety Report Cards summarise countries' levels of child safety as enforced through national policy. Included are policies in nine injury areas (passenger/driver safety, motor scooter and moped safety, pedestrian safety, cycling safety, water safety/drowning prevention, fall prevention, burn prevention, poisoning prevention, choking/strangulation prevention) and leadership, infrastructure and capacity strategies to support child injury prevention efforts.

The next round of assessments will be released in 2011 in conjunction with the TACTICS project.
