The Water Wise campaign (on water safety and drowning prevention) was carried out by the European Child Safety Alliance in partnership with Johnson and Johnson from 2003-2005.
Below you will find all the Water Wise national campaign activities that took place in 2004 and 2003. The 2005 activities plus all the promotional materials are in the Current Activities section under Campaigns.
While the National campaigns are underway the Alliance is also working on promoting the campaign on a European level. In May 2006 a news flash was sent out to the EU press and Health Interested MEP's and articles were published and posted on related agency sites. All European Life Saving Organisations have been approached to promote the campaign. Updated campaign materials were prepared and launched April 2007. Further water safety promotion will take place in spring 2008 with the launch of a service provider guideline.
